Accessing our website, requesting a quote, or entering a service agreement with Habitat Style Guide constitutes full acceptance of these Terms. If you disagree with any part, please refrain from using our services. These terms apply to all clients, visitors, and users of our digital and in-person service platform.
All services are governed by a written Service Agreement detailing scope, materials, timeline, and pricing. Changes must be documented in a signed Change Order before work begins. Verbal agreements are not binding. Habitat Style Guide reserves the right to decline projects outside our operational capabilities or service area.
Payment schedules are defined in each Service Agreement. Deposits are non-refundable once materials are ordered. Progress payments are due at milestones as specified. Final payment is due upon completion and client approval. Late payments incur 1.5% monthly interest. We may pause work for non-payment without liability.
Cancellations or rescheduling require 48 hours written notice to avoid a $75 administrative fee. Project cancellations after contract signing incur material costs and a 15% administrative charge. Emergencies are handled with case-by-case discretion. All cancellations must be submitted in writing to our project management team.
Our 2-year warranty covers defects in labor and installation. It excludes damage from misuse, neglect, unauthorized modifications, normal wear, natural events, or pre-existing conditions not disclosed at project start. Claims must be submitted in writing. Approved claims are repaired within 14 business days at no cost to the client.
Clients must provide safe access to work areas, disclose known structural issues or hazardous materials, secure pets and protect fragile valuables, and obtain required HOA or building permit approvals unless otherwise agreed in writing. Failure may cause delays and result in additional charges at standard rates.
Habitat Style Guide liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages including loss of income, diminished property value, or inconvenience. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which a claim is brought.
Both parties agree to first attempt good-faith resolution through direct negotiation within 30 days. If unresolved, disputes proceed to binding mediation before any legal action. Legal proceedings, if necessary, are conducted in USA, governed by USA state law without exception.
Design concepts, renderings, and project plans remain Habitat Style Guide intellectual property until full payment is received. Client testimonials and project photographs may be used for marketing unless written objection is submitted within 30 days of project completion. Client content shared with us remains the client's property.
Habitat Style Guide may engage licensed subcontractors for portions of your project. All subcontractors are vetted, insured, and held to the same standards as our direct employees. We remain fully responsible for all work performed on your project, and our warranty covers subcontractor work equally without exception.
Neither party is liable for delays from events beyond reasonable control — natural disasters, government shutdowns, severe weather, supply disruptions, or labor strikes. The affected party must notify the other within 48 hours, and project timelines will be adjusted mutually without financial penalty to either side.
Habitat Style Guide may modify these Terms at any time. Changes are posted on our website and communicated by email 30 days before taking effect for active clients. Continued use of our services following notification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms in full without reservation.
